Conformance Status

Limitations and Alternatives

Despite our efforts to support accessibility of the Voss Lighting website, there are known limitations. The known limitations below are based on a July 28, 2026 WCAG audit. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed here.

1. Sitewide header navigation and skip links. There is currently no skip-to-content link, and some mega-menu content may not be reachable or understandable with keyboard-only navigation. We are adding a skip link, keyboard-operable menu behavior, visible focus handling, and safeguards that remove hidden submenu content from the tab order. In the meantime, contact us if you cannot reach a page or service through the navigation.
2. Text contrast, visible links, and editor-selected colors. Some brand-colored text, footer text, input borders, and CMS rich-text links may have insufficient contrast or may not be visually distinct. We are updating color tokens, link styles, and CMS guardrails to prevent low-contrast combinations. In the meantime, contact us if text is difficult to read or if a link is hard to identify.
3. Page headings, landmarks, and document structure. Some pages may lack an h1 heading, skip heading levels, miss navigation landmarks, or contain nested main landmarks. We are updating templates and reviewing content so pages have consistent headings, landmarks, and reading order. In the meantime, contact us if the page structure makes content hard to navigate.
4. Forms, location search, maps, mobile menu, and filter dialogs. Some interactive components may not provide complete keyboard support, accessible names, live status messages, or focus management. We are adding labels, keyboard controls, focus trapping and restoration, live regions, and accessible alternatives where needed. In the meantime, use the contact options above to request help completing a task or finding location information.
5. Video, motion, carousels, and uploaded media. Some autoplaying or auto-advancing media may not provide pause controls, and uploaded videos may not yet include captions. We are adding motion controls and caption support, and will provide accessible alternatives for media content. In the meantime, contact us to request captions, transcripts, or another accessible format.
